SmartNetworking is a hybrid between an educational and networking event created by the Chamber in 2012. Participants acquire and develop networking skills through their involvement in small rotating groups and multiple, short, leader-facilitated discussions. During theses conversations opportunities with fellow participants arise. Emphasis is stressed on identifying and maximizing positive networking prospects. The format of the event will be the same at every SmartNetworking event, but the discussions will change and encourage repeat participation.
SmartNetworking 2.0 pushes this successful program to new levels with a new facilitator. Scott Sullivan, Certified Professional Coach and Director of Coaching and Curriculum at Velocity, a DC based coaching and professional development firm, will share three secrets to building success and having fun doing it at the same time! Although each of the three scheduled sessions can be enjoyed on its own, the common theme of living in a “success zone” will connect each one as well. So you will gain new networking skills and meet new contacts whether you are able to attend just one, two or all three scheduled sessions for 2013. NEW CHAMBER CORE EVENTS REGISTRATION POLICY
Beginning in 2013, all Capital Area Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (The Chamber) Core Events are FREE to members in good standing. However, because space is limited and hotel and catering costs are incurred, registration is necessary to secure your seat. Seats will be available through our online registration system on a first-come, first-served basis.
We value you as member of the Chamber and we hope that all of our members take advantage of the opportunity to attend our FREE Core Events. However, if you are unable to attend an event for which you have registered, we need a 24-hour written notice of cancellation so that we can make a space available for another member. Please email your cancellation notice to: MGuenther@caglcc.org.
Failure to cancel your registration within a 24-hour notice will be considered a “No Show”. “No Shows” will be billed a $25 fee, which must be paid to be able to attend future FREE Core Events.
